First Day of College
Today, my college life has officially started!!! Yesterday, I was dreading but today, I'm happy!!! There were a lot of Theresians there. I just realized how much I missed and loved my batchmates. I'm not close with everyone but I've shared memories with them.Mother decided to drop me off but I didn't see any Theresian so I told her to drop me off in a farther distance. After dropping me off, I crossed the road and immediately saw Theresians!!! The first one that I saw was my twin, Samantha. Yeah, we call each other "twin" because a lot of people said that we look alike. Heck, I'm mistaken as Sam a lot of times already. When someone would say "Aren't you good at drawing?" or "Weren't you the drummer back at 1st yr?" I would be like "That was San. ^_^;;" So anyways, too bad I'm not classmates with Sam. I'm in section A and there's only two other Theresians with me: Toni L. and Phex. I guess that's better than being alone. ^_^;;
So anyway, we proceeded to the gym. A few minutes later, there were a lot of Theresians gathered together at the front. Comparing schedules, catching up with summer vacation and asking of sections were just a few things that we did. I sat next to Clare, one of my old barkada but I have a feeling that we're gonna be spending more time with each other in college. Especially that the other people that are close to me are in other schools. Clare is so lucky!!! Her Tuesday schedule is a half day!!! I don't have any half day...humph...well, except for Saturday but that applies to everyoen as well!!!
The whole first day of college kinda boring. Probably because we spend the class hours in the gym, which is HOT!!!, with the general orientation in the morning and nursing orientation in the afternoon. I had lunch with Anna Amour and Clare with her mom and her mom's officemate in KFC near Redemptorist Church since the KFC near our school has a lot of people inside, specifically students. That ended up Clare's mom buying and paying mine and Anna's lunch, which we were really grateful for!!! =3
After the orientation, we were told to go to our own respective classrooms IF we still have a class to attend. There outside my Filipino subject classroom, I met Katrina. She's a batchmate of mine back in gradeschool. She went to Science Highschool for the last four school years. I'm really glad that she remembered me, not just my face but my name as well!!! She also introduced me to her friend. Anyways, we were hanging out in the classroom for a while. Toni, Phex and I were sitting together. Then Geremi and Jenny came in even though it was not their class. They just came in to talk and laugh with us. Geez, we were the noisiest >.> Then someone came and announced that there will be no classes for us. YEHEY!!!
3:00pm. We're free!!! I texted mom. I hang out with Jenny for an hour. After that, she had to go home so I hang out with the Theresians in section M, who were hanging out by the stairs, looking bored. But nevertheless, I'm glad that they still welcomed me and even asked me to sit so I did. Mom texted me and told me that it was traffic so I can understand why she couldn't fetch me earlier.
I guess it was almost around 5pm when Matoy showed up. She seem to be surprise yet happy to see me. She was like "Jessica Llanto!!! You're here!!!" She said in a slang english voice. I don't really know what's going on with Matoy and a passport and stuff but she seem to be pissed to talk about it when Reta asked. So anyways, she asked for us all to go to Ayala. Then a group of Theresians came, I forgot their section. But anyways...
Steffie: What's your section?
Me:A
Maurielle:Oh! You're classmates with my friend!
Steffie: Yeah! Her friend is Chris/Kris. He's kinda like a nigga(nigger). Befriend him, okay?!?!
Me: No way...
Steffie: If he doesnt' know your name, watch out!
Me: ^_^;;
It can't be helped. I'm SHY!!! @_@ So anyways, Matoy was always seem to be concern of me. It's obvious that she doesn't want me to feel left out. She was like "What about you, Jess?" I told her that my mom is kinda nearby already to fetch me so Matoy said. "Just come down with us!" So I did. Then I was like walking at the front and Matoy was like "Jessica is left behind!!! Where is she?!?!" I told her that I was here, at the front. ^_^;; Then when we reached downstairs, the others still asked me if I would go with them and they were making if sure too. But I told them I wouldn't and so they just all said bye to me. I really appreciate everything they did. Even Olive called me out "Jishu!!!" just to say bye because I had my attention someonewhere else. lolz. I really felt so touched by their simple gestures. It really made me happy although it was a tiring day.
Like I said, I'm not close to everyone but I've shared and created memories with them. I realized how Theresians really have a strong bond. Just like what our guidance counselor said "Theresians always find a way to be together." Don't get me wrong, I'm not comparing my school to others. I'm just feeling blessed to be a part of a strong bond. Now I wonder what our reunion would be like...lolz
